I have not done anything today! I had a day off from work and I really wanted to go out and enjoy it but the weather God is not feeling Paris at the moment, it won’t stop raining! I stayed in all day in my one-piece ( it was on sale for 5 euros on H&M so I could not resist) eating and irritating my cousin Yordanos (love doing that). Let’s just hope she won’t kill me in my sleep.

If you are like me, crazy about old school music then please note this down; “Soul Legend” with Arno Quinze. This guy KILLED it on the stage at ” Au Reservoir” last Friday where he sang groovy Motown classics non-stop for three hours. The crowd went bananas and people were dancing by the tables, on the stage and by the bar during the whole show. I’m definitely seeing this guy again!

Flamenco In Madrid

For my last night in Madrid, my friend Elisabeth booked tickets to see a Tablao Flamenco show at “Cardamomo”. This was my first experience with any kind of Flamenco live and I loved it! Cardamomo is a small restaurant/bar with a little stage just in front of the tables and me and Elisabeth were sitting in the front row barely an arm’s length from the artists. It felt like as if the dancers where there just for us. Magical.

Hello dear friends,

I got back from my short but lovely vacation in Madrid this evening and I have so much to share! Madrid is a city that has a lot to offer and I must go back soon to explore more. Since I don’t speak any spanish was it hard to communicate with people so my friend Elisabeth did all the talking. I did give it a try though, I said “hola” before asking if they knew any english but they often answered back in spanish with a speed like Twista, impossible to understand.

I’m off to Madrid and yes, Paris I will miss you! My friend Elisabeth lives there and I have said to her that I will come to see here one day et voila; this evening it is! I hate leaving Paris but I do need to have a look around and this will be my first visit to Madrid but something is telling me that it will not be my last.

I will get back to you guys next week!
