Back to work

Hey there folks!

Hope all is good on your side and that you’ve had a great summer. I just got back to work after four lovely weeks of vacation and I’m already back at it in full force! To all my people in Paris, Club S.W.E is back with a second edition of “Brocante Scandinave” and this time we will invade “Grand Train” with beautiful Scandinavian design. Our first edition at Nüba was very appreciated so we thought we do a second one. So, tell your friends to bring their friends and see you all on the 11th of September at Le Grand Train! #ClubSWE

Got a few more days in town before I will go home and see my family in Sweden and I’m loving every moment. August is actually my favourite month in Paris since everybody is on vacation and the vibe here is so peaceful. The other day, I decided to start working on my list, (previous post) so I went for a walk at “La Coulée Verte”. Gosh, I had no idea it would be that hard to complete my list with 30 aspects and so far I “only” wrote down 12 things but I’m ready to deal with them one by one. I’m also curious to see how far I can push myself to come up with the remaining 18 aspects! #timetocleanup #checkoutmypreviouspost #liveYOURlife

“Come join us for Happy Hour at artéfact before heading off for summer holidays to celebrate the release of Paris Cafes from A to Z guide.

Paris cafes from A to Z is a handy pocket guide of Paris cafés for every letter of the alphabet. It’s an illustration themed guide full of useful information on a diverse list of specialty cafés from local favorites down to café options off the beaten path.

We have been working for months on this project and we are excited to share it with you. Come meet the creators of the book Maya Dorsey of La Vie Locale ( editor) and Yukiko Noritake ( illustrations), and discover their other creative projects.

Don’t judge a book by…

Last night, a good friend of mine celebrated her b-day at an Italian place called “Da Vito”. From the outside, “Da Vito” looks like any given pizza joint but in the back of the restaurant, behind that brown door will you find the beautiful bar “Moonshiner”. Folks, if you’re like me, a sucker for pizza and amazing cocktails, this is the spot to visit! It was my first time visiting last night and since I was in my feelings after losing a very important game against Italy, I needed a drink! So, when I saw that the drink “Last Minute” had “Swedish spices” in it, I was like: let’s drink one for Zlatan! As I place my order, one of the bartenders overheard our conversation and said “you’re swedish?”. I said “yes” and he goes “well that’s very obvious”. I could have killed him in so many ways but I decided to say “I know, riiiight?”. #bitchdontkillmyvibe

Yes, I look happy af because last Saturday, I was in a room full of women who looked just like ME and we talked hair and sisterhood ALL DAY LONG! I left the 5th edition of the Natural Hair Academy with a heart filled with so much love and empowerment. I get a bit scared when I think about those days I wished my name was Becky and had “good” hair…Thank you NHA for yet another amazing event!
